At Headlands, I would like to spend time thinking about weaving in conversation with the landscape around me. My work often begins with materials and the slow process of making, and I am excited by the possibility of letting the rhythms of the Headlands shape that process. I want to explore how sculpture and weaving can help me better understand relationships between the body, the land, and time.

As a Bay Area artist, I am interested in the region’s rich history of craft and the ways artists have long blurred the boundaries between art, craft, education, and community. That legacy continues to shape how I think about making and sharing work with others.

Living and working in a place marked by wind, water, and geological change makes me think about deep time and the ways our lives fit within much longer histories. As an artist and educator, I hope to use the Project Space as a place to experiment, learn from the surrounding environment, and invite others into that process through conversation and community engagement. Ultimately, I want to explore how weaving can become a shared language for thinking about history and the landscapes we share both around and inside of us.

Project Space is on the third floor of Building 944 and is currently accessible only by stairs.
