Suppers at Headlands offer a unique opportunity to experience an evening at Headlands through the lens of Artists. Gather in our historic, artist-renovated Mess Hall and share a seasonal, family-style meal prepared by Headlands’ Kitchen. Your seat at the table helps sustain our mission of supporting artists and creative exchange.

For our November Supper, join us for studio visits with Fall Artist in Residence Scott Snibbe and Yameng Lee Thorp. Following the artist program, we’ll gather in the Mess Hall for a Sunday Supper with artists and fellow community members.

Yameng Lee Thorp is an Oakland-based artist with roots in China and South Africa. Her practice explores the psychic fallout of political erasure through what she calls “speculative landscapes.” Working with pigment sticks, oil, ink, and charcoal, she builds emotional terrains where life flourishes in resistance, speaking to both survival and collective memory.

Scott Snibbe creates works that explore the universal truth of interdependence, dissolving boundaries between self and other, art and audience. His art invites viewers to physically engage with digital screens, electromechanical sculpture, and immersive environments. By creating opportunities for human connection and meditative presence, his work reveals how meaning emerges through relationship rather than isolation, challenging the assumption that we exist apart from one another or the world around us.
