Supper at Headlands | January 2026
Will you join us for supper? Suppers at Headlands offer a chance to experience an evening at Headlands through the lens of Artists. Gather in our historic, artist-renovated Mess Hall and share a seasonal family-style meal prepared by Headlands’ Chef, Damon Little. Your seat at the table helps sustain our mission of supporting artists and creative exchange. Bring a friend, make more, and be a part of our growing community.
Following supper, we’re excited to host a special live performance by Oakland-based artists, Briana Marela Lizárraga and Cole Pulice in Headlands’ Eastwing.
Program Overview
6-7:30PM | Drinks and dinner (Ticketed supper)
7:30-9PM | Performance (Free with RSVP)
Featured Artists
Briana Marela Lizárraga is a Peruvian American composer, vocalist, and performing artist based out of Oakland, CA. Inspired by Magical Realism and using her voice as a focal point, she makes use of visually engaging elements of tech augmented gestures and objects to compose and perform her music live. Lizárraga’s gestural and lyrical song performances draw from elements of both experimental electronic music and vocal driven pop music. Using a visual programming language and machine learning, she is able to make custom tools to create compositions with varying fixed elements that transition into moments of improvisation. She was most recently a spatial sound artist in residence at Audium in San Francisco for their residency New Voices IV, performing her multi-channel piece live every weekend from February to April 2025. She is currently a Montalvo Lucas Arts Music and Composition fellow. She received an MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College in 2020. Her newest full length album, My Inner Rest, was released on June 6th, 2025 via AKP Recordings.
Saxophonist, composer and improviser Cole Pulice traffics in shimmering, otherworldly beauty. On Land’s End Eternal, their first album for Leaving Records, the Oakland-based artist expands their compositional palette beyond signal-processed saxophone to include layers of electric guitar and lush choral arrangements. The result is a prismatic collection of pastoral chamber jazz in six parts. Cole’s previous release, a 22-minute electroacoustic odyssey titled If I Don’t See You in the Future, I’ll See You In the Pasture (Longform Editions, 2023), was named ‘Best New Track’ by Pitchfork and included in the publication’s Best Songs Of The 2020s. Cole has also released a smattering of solo and collaborative work on beloved labels including Moon Glyph, Aural Canyon and Cached Media. Their performance history includes appearances at Pitchfork Music Festival (UK), Rewire (NL), ÜBERJAZZ (DE), Copenhagen Jazz Festival (DK), Drone Not Drones (US), & Noise Pop Festival (US).
