Headlands Center for the Arts

Seasonal Studio Visits are offered to Headlands supporters at the $1K Breakthrough Level and above and feature an intimate look at works-in-progress and insight into the creative process of Headlands’ Artists. In August, join us for an evening of studio visits with current Artists in Residence Erica Mahinay and Saif Alsaegh. Erica Mahinay’s layered paintings investigate perception, touch and transformation through an intuitive process of accumulation and revision, while Saif Alsaegh’s multidisciplinary practice draws on personal and collective histories to explore memory, migration, and the lasting impacts of conflict and displacement. Hear about their evolving practices, and the stories behind their work.
