Live with Kacy Jung
We’re going live on Instagram @HeadlandsArts with Affiliate Artist Kacy Jung (AFF ‘20–’21). Kacy ( @kacy_jung on Instagram) uses photography and photo-sculptures to investigate how capitalism shapes personal identity and class consciousness. Her ongoing project, 21 Grams-The Weight of Souls, consists of a series of interviews with and photographs of people who have left previous professions to pursue a life as an artist. Kacy frequently prints her photographic portraits onto textiles, and manipulates the printed fabric to create sculptural forms in which the portrait is twisted, bunched, and distorted.
