Artist Statement
I weave vividly colorful, symmetrical but imperfect compositions. These patterns feel like echoes of connection, or invitations for collaboration, with mystery. Integrating a variety of synthetic and organic materials with slow and tender labor is a way to contend with my material footprint. I hope my work opens up new ways of seeing and feeling the world, and what our impact on it could be.
While At Headlands
While at Headlands I’ll focus on integrating weaving, ceramics, steel forms and plastics into sculptural metaphors for consciousness and perception.
