T. Cody Swift is a licensed psychotherapist and director of the Riverstyx Foundation. Since 2008, he has helped sponsor over a dozen psychedelic research studies and has supported indigenous plant medicine conservation, including working with the Native American Church in the preservation of peyote in Texas and Mexico. He also has worked as a therapist/guide in the Johns Hopkins University cancer-anxiety trials, and continues to conduct qualitative research into the effects of psilocybin and MDMA on religious clergy, for the treatment of depression, and in patients with life-threatening illness.
