Artist Statement

My artwork explores the relationship between natural and human-made environments through meditative, process-driven practices. By collecting, documenting, and transforming discarded materials—such as debris, weeds, and urban refuse—I challenge traditional notions of value and landscape. I highlight overlooked spaces, emphasizing the interconnectedness of all materials, and seek to cultivate intimacy and reverence for the often-disregarded elements of our surroundings. Through printmaking, illustration, and craft techniques, I create devotional objects that reimagine waste as meaningful artifacts, inviting a reconsideration of how we engage with the world around us.

While at Headlands

While at Headlands, I plan to cultivate intimacy with my surroundings through a devotional, process-driven practice that uses multimedia materials to transform discarded remnants and overlooked details into reflections–revealing hidden narratives of human presence, ecological entanglement, and reverence for place.
