Jennie Ottinger is an interdisciplinary artist who focuses on small-scale drawings and paintings. Her work reflects themes of structure and hierarchy, and occasionally addresses what happens when rules or order are challenged. Her work has been shown at Pro Arts, Oakland, Southern Exposure, San Francisco and at Headlands Center for the Arts Front and Center. Ottinger earned her Bachelor of Arts in art history from the University of the Pacific, her BFA from California College of the Arts and her MFA from Mills College. Ottinger lives and works in San Francisco.
