Artist Statement

Chance is important in my work. I try to think of the energetic properties. What does this generate? I like the side of conceptual work that leans more on poetics. Like in Arte Povera, the materials can be unassuming (a piece of wood, string, the cover of a book) it’s the intervention that reveals the unexpected poetry that permeates everyday life.

While At Headlands

While in residence at Headlands I’d like to explore the relationship between image and words. To investigate text as image in terms of mark making.
