HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM HEADLANDS! Jump-start your resolution to see more art with these great events in January.

Headlands annual exhibition returns with selections from 29 AIR applicants and 3 Tournesol award finalists. Come explore the work of artists who were extremely close calls in this year's highly selective residency program selection. The official opening reception will take place Sunday, January 28th, from 1-3pm.

Join Headlands in celebrating our 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Prints with an exhibition at Park Life, an exciting new retail store and gallery in the Richmond district. The prints were created by sixteen internationally-acclaimed alumni artists to celebrate the 20th anniversary year of Headlands' Artist in Residence program. The opening reception takes place on January 26th, from 6-9pm.

Landscape of War Exhibit Happening Now -Following up Headlands' initial panel discussion in August 2006, "The Landscape of War" exhibit further explores themes based on writer/activist Rebecca Solnit's opinions on the war, and includes works by Headlands artists such as Mike Arcega, Christopher Draeger, Binh Danh, Mark Klett and Trevor Paglen. In addition to the exhibit, a second panel discussion will take place on Sunday, January 21st, from 4-6pm, and is open to the public. Dawoud Bey Lecture Thursday, January 18th, 7pm - Attend a lecture by one of the country's preeminent portrait artists, as featured in the Jewish Identity Project: New American Photography, currently on display at The Contemporary Jewish Museum.
