Project Space What is Project Space?
Project Space is a unique Artist Residency where the artist’s 1800-square-foot studio is open to the public five afternoons a week in our main building. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the artist, ask questions, explore their studio, and get an insider’s view into the artistic process. Project Space exists to give visitors a sampling of the cutting edge, creative work being done by our Artists in Residence throughout Headlands campus on a daily basis. Project Space is FREE to the public.
3rd Floor, Building 944 Open Tuesday-Friday & Sunday, Noon - 5PM Currently Featuring Brooke Singer June 15 - July 22 In 2007, Brooke Singer launched Superfund365, an online data visualization project that every day for a year highlighted a different Superfund site or the worst toxic contamination sites across the US as defined by the EPA. Her web project makes accessible government information about the contamination, responsible parities, and demographics of the locations and also allows users to upload text and images to expand official narratives. Currently, Brooke is returning to several of the sites from the original online project to make photographs for an exhibition and book project. She will share her work in progress, which includes her new images as well as the research that impelled her return.
