Mess Hall Café Open from Noon - 4:30PM

Just three times per year Headlands Center for the Arts invites you behind the studio doors of its world renowned Artist in Residence program to witness the creative process of writers, musicians, dancers, choreographers and visual artists of all kinds. This Spring welcomes a diverse group of individuals from California, New York, Portugal and the UK, all of each of whom are deeply engaged with environmental, national, physical, cultural, communal and aesthetic issues. Join us for the first Open House of 2009!

So, come visit our historic 1907-era buildings, listen to fiction/non-fiction readings, discuss works-in-progress with artists, see musical/dance performances and enjoy a delicious locally grown lunch prepared by Chef Keith Mercovich in the Mess Hall.

Some of the Bay Area’s best artists and performers have honed their chops at the Headlands Center for the Arts and its open house events are a great opportunity to see what’s new in the arts and who’s going to be the next big thing.
