Artist Talk: Tuesday, April 15, 7:30PM with Robin Ekiss
Amy Rathbone’s site-specific works treat the architectures that contain them as their canvas. Using ink, wire and pencil, she investigates movement and structure, using her own body as a basic measure of space, gesture and endurance. The ephemeral natures of time, history and psychology are made physical through her actions, as she develops “movement scores” that mimic music composition in their use of theme, repetition and variation.
