For Headlands, I created: A wooden flashlight; a practical object built of reclaimed wood from local dismantled dwellings, hand burnished using organic beeswax and completed with leather and brass details.
I was inspired by: My interest in repurposing historically-rich materials that might otherwise be discarded or overlooked.
My vision for how someone will use/enjoy this: Initially, it might be enjoyed as a curio, but its practicality would be realized during the next rolling blackouts.
