Zina Al-Shukri paints and draws portraits from life. Her art practice is shaped by a full collaboration between the sitter and the artist to create a tangible, intimate and visceral experience. Al-Shukri’s exhibition history includes Jack Hanley Gallery, San Francisco, and Pulliam Deffenbach Gallery, Portland, Oregon. She earned her BA in painting and drawing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her MFA from California College of the Arts. Al-Shukri lives and works in San Francisco.
