Todd Hido’s highly detailed and luminous color photographs often examine urban and suburban housing across the U.S. His photographs are in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, as well as in many other public and private collections. He has been featured in Artforum, The New York Times Magazine, Eyemazing, Metropolis, The Face, I-D, and Vanity Fair. He has over a dozen published books; his upcoming monograph titled Excerpts from Silver Meadows will be released in 2012. He earned a BFA from Tufts University and an MFA from California College of the Arts. Hido lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.
