Shaun O’Dell (AIR ‘02, Tournesol Awardee 09-’10) makes drawings, videos, music and sometimes sculpture. His work explores the intertwining realities of the human and natural orders. O’Dell has exhibited his work at many venues, including the Jack Hanley Gallery, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; Whitebox, Marianne Boesky Gallery, Susan Inglett, and Jack Hanley Gallery, New York, and the UCLA Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. His work is held in the permanent collections of the New York Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the de Young Museum, and the Berkeley Art Museum. O’Dell received his BA from the New College of California, and his MFA from Stanford University. He lives, works, and teaches in the San Francisco Bay Area.
