Ruth Laskey uses a traditional floor loom to weave geometric abstractions, often employing a muted color palette. A 2011 recipient of the SECA Art Award, she has been included in group exhibitions internationally and held solo exhibitions across the Bay Area, as well as in Berlin. Laskey earned her BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and her BFA and MFA from California College of the Arts. She lives and works in San Francisco.
