Pamela Jordan makes subtly complex abstract paintings that encourage a phenomenological experience of painterly space defined by color, mark, composition and light. Recent solo exhibits include her fourth solo exhibition at Klaus Von Nichtssagend Gallery, New York, NY and her first solo exhibition at Romer Young Gallery, San Francisco, CA. Jorden recently received her second review in Art in America for her exhibition Looking Through Trees. She received her BFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (1992) and her MFA from California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California (1996). Jorden lives and works in Los Angeles where she is a founding member of WPA, an artist-run collective.
