Lisa Bartleson’s canvases are records of the meditative act of painting. She uses a reductive vocabulary of form and color to create work that is infused with light. The nuanced surfaces of her paintings are at once intense and calming, moving and still. Bartleson’s work has been exhibited nationally and is held in private and public collections throughout the US and Europe. She earned her BA in biology from the University of Northern Colorado and she lives and works in Los Angeles.
