Leigh Wells creates lush collages that twist familiar shapes, textures and objects into innovative forms. Wells has exhibited at ZieherSmith Gallery, New York; and has been featured throughout the Bay Area at Gregory Lind Gallery, Guerrero Gallery, Ampersand International Arts and Gallery 16. Her work has appeared in Harper’s Magazine and are included in the Viewing Program at The Drawing Center in New York, and the flat files at Pierogi in Brooklyn. She holds a BFA summa cum laude from University of San Francisco, with further study at the San Francisco Art Institute, Crown Point Press and Parsons/New School in New York. She currently lives and works in San Francisco.
