Dan Bayles’ canvases create abstractions that encapsulate the dissonance and excitement of metropolitan landscapes. Past exhibitions include “Contract-W914NS-04-D-0009” at François Ghebaly Gallery, “Untitled, History Paintings” at the University Museum of Michigan, Ann Arbor curated by Jacob Proctor, “Glue, Paper, Scissor” at the Luckman Gallery in Los Angeles, “Fantastic LA” at the Illinois State University Gallery, and “The Drama of the Gifted Child” at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena. He has most recently shown new work at the Frieze Art Fair, New York. Dan Bayles was a 2008 recipient of the California Community Foundation Emerging Artist grant. He received his MFA from the University of California, Irvine and is based in Los Angeles.
