Christina Seely (AIR ’11) is an artist who uses photography and the moving image to explore the ever-changing tension between nature and culture. Her work has exhibited throughout the US as well as internationally most recently at: The 2012 Helsinki Photography Biennial, The Noorderlicht 2011 Photofestival in Groningen in The Netherlands; The Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago; and in a year long installation in city hall commissioned by the San Francisco Arts Commission. Seely holds a BA from Carleton College, an MFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design, and is currently a faculty member at California College of the Arts in Oakland/San Francisco, CA. Seely is also a founding member of the design collective Civil Twilight. She lives and works in San Francisco.
