AUCTION GUIDELINES
Auction Rules
Each bidder will receive a numbered auction catalogue which will serve as his or her bidding paddle. All guests attending the auction must preregister with a credit card in order to obtain a bidder identification number. A bid number is required to participate in the Auction.
All items are subject to a minimum starting bid. Your bid, oral or written, constitutes a legal contract.
No artwork will be sold for less then the minimum bid amount outlined in the catalogue or reserve price established by the donor.
Each item is auctioned as-is, without warranty.
All sales are final.
To pay for and pick-up your artwork, please see the cashier. All transactions must be completed at the conclusion of the Benefit Auction and works should be taken home that evening.
Payment may be made using personal cash, check, MasterCard or Visa. Other credit cards will not be accepted. An 8.5 percent San Francisco sales tax will be applied to all purchases.
A “paid” receipt is required to remove any item from the premises.
Successful bidders should make arrangements for removal of shipment of their purchases the night of the auction. Buyers are encouraged to take their work home with them that evening. All arrangements and expenses for storage and/or delivery are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Items may be shipped via FedEx for a minimum charge of $50 or more depending on weight and size. Packing, handling, and shipping of purchased artworks are the entire risk of the buyer.
