Vanessa Woods’ 16mm films fuse the narrative devices of documentary, diaristic and fiction works to create a genre all her own. She has been awarded a Film Arts Foundation Personal Works Grant and a San Francisco Art Institute MFA Film Fellowship, and has recently exhibited at Root Division Gallery, San Francisco and Johansson Projects, Oakland. Woods holds an MFA in Film from San Francisco Art Institute.
