Stephanie Syjuco is a visual artist whose recent work uses the tactics of bootlegging, counterfeiting and reappropriation to address issues of cultural biography and economic power structures. She has shown nationally and internationally at PS1, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and The New Museum, New York, SFMOMA and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco, The San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art, The Contemporary Museum Honolulu, the California Biennial at Orange County Museum of Art, Newport Beach, CA, and venues in Beijing, Manila, and Istanbul. She received an MFA from Stanford University and a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute.
