Kathryn Spence’s installations and individual works involve piling, layering, and the transformation of previously used and cast-off materials. Recent solo exhibitions include Stephen Wirtz Gallery, San Francisco, Carl Berg Gallery, Los Angeles, Finesilver Gallery, San Antonio, and Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. She received a BFA from University of Colorado, Boulder, and an MFA from Mills College, Oakland.
