James Sansing is interested in the leftover physical evidence of human behavior and explores these ideas through the creation of intriguing multimedia sculptures made from diverse materials—cement, graphite, coal, paint and acid, to name a few. His recent exhibitions include 2008 Images Festival, Toronto, Art Works Downtown, San Rafael, Claremont Museum of Art, CA, Southern Exposure, Oakland Art Gallery, and Ampersand International Arts, San Francisco. Sansing received both an MFA and a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute.
