Emily McLeod’s color photography explores several themes: the meaning and impact of domestic and public architecture, the relationship between built and natural environments, and the transformative qualities of light and darkness. She is currently photographing single-family homes in the San Francisco Bay area, in particular post-war housing built by developers such as Henry Doelger and Joseph Eichler. McLeod graduated from San Francisco State University with an MFA in Photography.
