Ginelle Hustrulid gathers inspiration from attending the annual American Psychoanalytic Symposium, perusing her avid collection of movies and books, and a background that includes working in a hospital and as a body attendant at a morgue. Her work has been shown and screened internationally, and she has won numerous awards including the Jay DeFeo Award in Art, Eklind Fellowship in Studio Art, and the Festival Award for Video at the SFAI International Film Festival. Hustrulid received an BFA in Painting from Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland, OR, and an MFA in Video and Intermedia Art from Mills College.
