Elyse Hochstadt explores the human psyche and personal myth through a variety of unexpected materials, in project-based works that include sculpture, installation, drawing and video. Her work has been included in shows at Headlands Center for the Arts, Johansson Projects, Oakland, and the Richmond Art Center, and has been published in California Home and Design, sprayblog.net, and thevisualmovement.com. She earned an MFA from San Francisco Art Institute, and maintains a studio at Swarm Studios & Gallery in Oakland.
