Painter Deborah Grant's collage-style canvases pulsate with a kind of social energy rarely found on a flat surface. Her work has been exhibited at Real Art Ways, Hartford, CT, The Studio Museum of Harlem, Triple Candie, and ArtOMI in New York, Inman@Lawing Gallery, Houston, TX, and Post Gallery, Los Angeles. She was recently featured in The Way That We Rhyme at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and she has received a Skowhegan Fellowship and a Tides Foundation Grant. Grant received a BFA in Painting from Columbia College, IL, and an MFA in Painting from Tyler School of Art, Elkins, PA.
