Tia Factor’s paintings explore the idea of mapping the subconscious and often include references to many kinds of cultural imagery. Her work has been exhibited throughout the Bay Area, and she is represented by Swarm Gallery, Oakland. She was the recipient of an Eisner Award, a J. Ruth Kelsey Traveling Merit Award and an ArtsTasmania International Natural and Cultural Residency. She received an MFA from University of California, Berkeley, and a BFA from California College of the Arts.
