Alex Clausen makes hand-altered photographs and sculptures using the domestic objects that create social space within homes. He has exhibited at the Exploratorium, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, Kala Art Institute, Pulliam Deffenbaugh Gallery, Portland, OR, and Rena Bransten Gallery, and is part of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco collection. He received an MFA in Drawing and Painting from California College of the Arts and a BA in Physics and Art from UC Davis.
